In celebration of Veterans Appreciation Week, on Tuesday, November 8th, Brookdale Senior Living and Jeremy Bloom’s Wish of a Lifetime hosted an event to recognize and honor the service of local veterans.
“Honor our Heroes” featured stories from our veteran’s time in the service, wish granting, and many surprises. Videos from the live event are featured above.
Sara Terry, vice president of Optimum Life for Brookdale Senior Living and Jeremy Bloom, two-time Olympic skier and former NFL football player and founder of Jeremy Bloom’s Wish of a Lifetime hosted this event to honor our veterans.
With the sponsorship of Brookdale Senior Living, Jeremy Bloom’s Wish of a Lifetime have granted more than 180 lifelong wishes for Brookdale senior residents so far this year. These life-enriching wishes are designed to reconnect loved ones, renew and celebrate passions and fulfill lifelong dreams.
Brookdale Senior Living and Wish of a Lifetime are engaged in a multiyear initiative to grant wishes for hundreds of seniors annually nationwide. The relationship builds on the joint commitment of each organization to serve seniors and raise awareness about the importance of helping to keep older adults dreaming, daring and discovering.
Joining together with Wish of a Lifetime motivates Brookdale residents to expand their opportunities to live an Optimum Life. Optimum Life helps cultivate whole-person wellness through fulfillment in six key dimensions: physical, emotional, purposeful, social, spiritual, and intellectual.
With the granting of each wish, our seniors will have an opportunity to fulfill those dreams they had placed on the shelf, and take action as a result of the mutual commitment of both organization.
